The Supply Chain Professionals Council (SCPC) successfully hosted its Half-Day Summit 2025 at the prestigious S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai on 13th September 2025. Themed “Borderless Supply Chain: Driving Growth in GCCs”, the summit brought together industry leaders, academicians, professionals, and students to exchange knowledge, ideas, and perspectives on the evolving supply chain landscape.

The event commenced with a Welcome Note by Mr. Prasad Kurup, Vice President & Senior Partner, IBM, setting the tone for an engaging afternoon of collaboration and innovation. This was followed by Opening Remarks by Prof. Nilendra Singh Pawar Department Chair-Operations & Supply Chain Management, SP Jain, Mumbai (SPJIMR), who highlighted the critical role of Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in strengthening borderless supply chains. 

The agenda unfolded with the Hackathon Introduction by Mr. Ritesh Chaudhari, Head of Digital Business (dx) / IT-India/Pak & dx Innovation-IMEA Henkel, encouraging participants to showcase innovative ideas addressing real-world challenges.

Keynote Session:

The Keynote Speaker Ms. Sarala Menon, Executive Vice President – End to End Supply Chain (retd.), Colgate-Palmolive (India & S. Asia) highlighted the opportunities and challenges within the GCC ecosystem, focusing on talent, technology, and training as enablers of success. The speaker also emphasized why GCCs are becoming attractive workplaces, offering exposure to global business, cutting-edge technologies, and structured talent development.

Panel Discussion:

The discussion on “Borderless Supply Chain: Driving Growth in GCCs” featured an esteemed panel of experts:

The speakers during the Panel Discussion shared diverse perspectives on driving efficiency, resilience, and growth through GCCs. Their dialogue shed light on pressing challenges while mapping strategies for the future.

SCPC-HENKEL-National Supply Chain Hackathon 2025 Presentation

The Hackathon featured student participants from across India, both offline and online, who showcased their innovative thinking on key supply chain themes — Futureproofing Kirana Stores vs. Quick Commerce, Dark Manufacturing: The Future of Automation, Innovation in First-Mile Logistics: Farm to Collection Center, and Next-Gen Supply Chain: Unlocking India’s Multimodal Advantage. Their presentations reflected creativity, practicality, and a deep understanding of real-world challenges. This was followed by the Winner Felicitation Ceremony which recognized the most impactful solutions, celebrating young innovators for their fresh perspectives.

The summit concluded with a Closing Note by Mr. Kurup Prasad, reflecting on the key takeaways and reaffirming SCPC’s commitment to fostering collaboration, innovation, and building borderless, future-ready supply chains.

The SCPC Half-Day Summit 2025 not only sparked thought leadership but also provided a platform for the next generation to engage with real-world supply chain challenges, reinforcing the vision of creating sustainable, resilient, and borderless supply chains.
